RECORDER | When Ferd Wulkan was in high school, his best friend, Severin Drix, read an article in Life magazine about the game Tiddlywinks.
Then, Wulkan, who now lives in Montague Center, had no idea what the words squidger, squop and winks meant. But, now, he doesn’t even have to think twice.
The 1962-article detailed how British players were coming to the United States, to challenge people to Tiddlywinks matches, which is a game for four players who play in two pairs.
Drix told Wulkan about his new discovery.
